For a school's 150 teachers

I'm Muhammad Alif Najmi, a business analyst at Axrail in Kuala Lumpur and a Computer Science graduate from UTP. By day I write requirements for banks, insurers, logistics and telco companies, and SMEs. After hours I ship apps people in Malaysia actually use.

This is me

Hi, I'm Alif.

I just graduated from UTP, and for the last couple of years I've been working out what businesses need and then building it myself after hours.

I like problems I can see around me in Malaysia: a school buried in spreadsheets, a surau you didn't know held Jumaat, a sidewalk nobody reports. Off the clock you'll usually find me playing Mobile Legends.

SMK Subang data dashboard: open tasks, overdue count and links for teachers The same dashboard on a phone

SMK Subang data dashboard

The data hub of a real secondary school in Selangor, in use today.

In real use

Replaced a page of seven links and one messy spreadsheet that ~150 teachers had to dig through.

  • Who hasn't submitted, with a one-tap list to copy into WhatsApp
  • Syncs every hour from the Google Sheets staff already edit, and flags bad data by sheet and row
  • Private by design: public page shows totals only, row-level security, append-only audit log
  • No shared passwords: new admins get a one-time link through Telegram
  • Next.js
  • Express
  • Supabase
  • Apps Script

Live demo
  • Explainable fit score out of 100, built from skills people have proven on past tasks
  • Roles and audit trail enforced in both the API and the database

IT Asset Disposal app: list of cases colour-coded by status The old Excel disposal sheet Before · Excel & emailAfter · the app

From a long Excel sheet per device type to one list of cases, colour-coded by status, with every item and its approver in one place.

26 screensClick through the appOne case, draft to disposed.

IT Asset Disposal

SLB internship, 2025. Turned an e-waste process run on email chains and Excel into one app.

Deployed internally

Before: items logged one by one in a spreadsheet, then approved through a chain of emails to the IT Manager and Finance Controller.

  • Two-level approval in the app: IT Manager, then Finance Controller, with rejected cases sent back to edit and resubmit
  • Approvers set by location: pick a base and the right approvers fill in, so nobody emails the wrong person
  • Automatic emails at every step through Power Automate, plus a watchlist so colleagues can work on a case together
  • Built for scale: 3NF data model across 10 SharePoint lists, and local collections to get past Power Apps delegation limits
