Four years, one walk across the stage

Yesterday, 2 November 2026, I graduated from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS at its 26th convocation ceremony.

I first walked into UTP in May 2022 for the foundation year. Four years later I'm walking out with a Computer Science degree, a major in Enterprise Systems and a minor in Corporate Management.

What fit in between

  • Leading the academic and welfare side of the computer science society, and running tournaments for the esports club.
  • Eight months at SLB in Kemaman, where I built an IT asset disposal app in Power Apps.
  • My final year project, TaskMatch, which I've since rebuilt from scratch.
  • A few side projects for problems I kept running into: a school dashboard, JumaatFinder and KakiLima.

What's next

I had already started as a business analyst at Axrail a month before the ceremony, so convocation felt more like closing a chapter than starting one. Next up: finishing the MyLokalEvent v2 MVP, and writing here more often.
